Transcription: Keeping track of how fast an object rises into the air is not a simple calculation. We have to calculate how fast the angle changes between the horizontal and the line of sight to the rising object. The key to this calculation which requires calculus, is to express the angle in terms of the changing height of the object and its horizontal distance away. We use inverse trigonometric functions to do this, which are described in this topic.
